Sad news my friends...

I have been thinking a lot the past couple of weeks, and I've decided to quit the Magnolia design team =( This was not an easy decision because I really adore the stamps, all the talented ladies of the team and ofcourse the staff behind Magnolia.

I just don't have the time to do projects for M at this time. I work fulltime and the rest of my time goes to my family, friends and ofcourse my wonderful hobbbies. I have a lot going on at the side (like painting, making pitcures, jewellery, photographing...and cardmaking, which is the number one ;) and I want that to come in first place since I don't have so much sparetime.

I will still make cards with these lovely stamps but this blog will no longer be active. You can still visit me in my regular blog at:

Happy Easter!

I am soooo stuffed with candy at the moment it hurts to breathe haha ;P...No, not really, but I've been eating ALOT of candy (it's legal around easter) so I´m sick of it for now (propably until tomorrow ;)

My mothers birthday is coming up so I made her a gift bag. This is one of Magnolias new cute stamps and I've painted her with DI; Tattered rose, walnut stain, vintage photo, aged mahogny, peeled paint, wild honey and weathered wood.

I forgot to put stickles on the butterflies and her flower...wellwell...

Tilda with lamb

Spring has finally arrived to northern Sweden!! I didn't think that it would because of all the snow...we have a big pile left on the backside of the house but hopefully it melts away this weekend =)

Lovely flowers has begun to pop up in the garden! The tulips usually pops up in late april...but I don't see much of them because my bulldogg apperantley likes to massacre them...She cuts them of right where the flower is (on top if you know what I mean) and leave the green standing there. But it's kind of pretty to have both red, purple and yellow tulips all across the yard...(have to make the best out of the situation ;P)

Yesterday I went to a friend of mine. I made a whole card! That usually doesen't happends (we talk to much haha)

This is the lovely Tilda with lamb from Magnolias latest collection Butterfly dreams. I've painted her with distress inks: Walnut stain, tattered rose, vintage photo, tea dye, faded jeans, stprmy sky, weathered wood, black soot, peeled paint and scattered straw.

Sorry for the bad photos but the sun is shining like crazy here =)

The stamp (from Magnolia) says Congratulations on swedish.

I've made a new card this morning =) I'm off from work today, so I just sat down and did what I felt like =) I'm also done wih the projects for the next Magnolia ink so now I have some more time on my "spare-time hands".

This supercute stamp is from Magnolias new collection "butterfly dreams" and she is coloured with D.I; Weathered wood, peeled paint, victorian velvet, black soot, tattered rose, old paper, walnut stain and vintage photo.

The papers are from Magnolia. They come in two sizes! 6x6 (perfect for cards since the pattern is smaller) and 12x12. Adooorable papers!!!

Tilda and her bunny

At this moment I'm working on projects for the next Magnolia ink, so I don't have so much time over for other things besides family and work. But yesterday I ha the whole evening of so I sat down and made a card! =)

I used Magnolias new stam 'Tilda and her bunny' and coloured her with distress inks: Walnut stain, vintage photo, tattered rose, tea dye, black soot, weathered wood and spiced marmelad.

All the papers are from Magnolia! I just love the new Butterfly Dreams collection! both stamps and papers are adorable!

Small giftbag

I really loves the minimagnolias! They are so cute and small ;P

This morning i made a small giftbag. It can fit a couple of earrings or another small gift perfect =) It's more fun than the standard "jewelbox" you get when you buy accessories.

The cute stamp "farwell Tilda" became the motife today. I am planning on giving it to someone that has left on my job.

Unfortunatly I managed to get water on her face. i didn't noticed it until I chalked her cheeks...so they are a little to red ;P

Such a cute little bag! I couldn't attatch so much flowers because it gets to heavy and tilt =)

Small box

I've made a little box for someone. I can't tell for who since there is a chance that she might be reading this ;P The box will contain another handmade present...but I can't tell you what that is yet (since she might figure out that the present is for her) so i will show it in a couple of days or so ;)

I've used one of Magnolias ministamps. It fits perfect since the box isn't that big. It's coloured with distress inks: Walnut stain, dusty concord, milled lavender, black soot, vintage photo, tattered rose and weathered wood.

I've also used one of Magnolias Doohickeys (heartborder dies).

(It's supposed to lean to one side...it's not me that have done it wrong ;P)

Candybag

I've made a candybag to one of my friends.

I used tons of Magnoliastuff ;P

First out, I used the supercute King Tilda and coloured her with distress inks milled lavender, dusty concord, black soot, vintage photo, walnut stain, wild honey and weathered wood.

Since the bag will contain candy I just had to use "A little yummy for your tummy" ministamp =)

Offcourse the stamp "Friends fill your life with smiles" was a given choice =)

My newly invested Magnolia doohickey swirl had to be used along with the leaves that came in the same package.

On top of the bagpart I put a patterned paper and used the Doohickey "Tildas lace".

On the bottom the Doohickey "Heartborder"

Now I just have to figure out what kind of candy to put in there ;P

Finally a card!

I have finally managed to make a card! It's been pretty intensive weeks for a while now...All work and no play makes Malin a dull girl ;P

This time I used a lot of things from Magnolia =) The beautiful swirl (that I chopped up into peaces so it could fit my version ;), two textstamps, the flowers and the beautiful Tilda from "You are so special" collection.

If you look closer you can see one textstamp on the patterned paper

. "Friends fill your life with smiles"

The other textstamp says "a gift from the heart"

The adorable Tilda is coloured with distress inks; Milled lavender, tattered rose, dusty concord, black soot, vintage photo, walnut stain, weathered wood and victorian velvet.

As usually i used pearlmaker allover ;P

Tilda with many hearts

Valentine's day is over once again. My partner forgot it (as usual) and felt ashame ;P I remembered it so I bought presents for both him and our son (candy ofcourse ;P)...which made him feel a little bit worse =)

I made an envelopecard for him but that I will show another day. ;) Today I'm going to show one of my new favourite Magnolias! The supercute Tilda with many hearts that I have coloured with d.i: victorian velvet, black soot, weathered wood, tattered rose, walnut stain, vintage photo and barn door.

I also used magnolias textstamp "A ton of love" and doohickey (the border).

I made a card for Valentines Day...again! I was planning on giving them away to friends and famiily since Magnolias new stamps just screams "Use me" for every card that I make ;) And I have to use them for "heartycards" right now! The best thing about them are that they are useful in other situations too but, like I said, I just have to do Valentine cards right away =)

This cute Tilda is coloured with distress inks; Dusty concord, tattered rose, barn door, vintage photo, weathered wood, walnut stain, milled lavender, peeled paint and black soot.

I made the hearts myself (obviously ;) adn put on some pearlmaker.

The purple flowers and textstamp are from Magnolia.

Hi! It's been a while since my latest update but I've started to work again and decided to renovate our little bathroom so there has'nt been much time over for anything else except family. Now the bathroom is finished so I finally had some time over for this wonderful hobby!

Sometimes you just have to show a card that you're not saticfied with...this is such a card. I didn't think of what paper that could go to the colours of this gorgeous Tilda. I just coloured her and then it hit me! I don't have anything that matches!! *panic* And for extra information this card is made after a sketch that I had problems with. Well, well, sometimes you just got to with it and try your best...and show it! ;P

And this is the whole card...that did'nt work at all! ;P

Look what I got my hands on! The new stamps from Magnolia, the adorable collection "You are so special".

I couldn't wait to get started so I managed to do one card last night ;P

I have more stamps from this collection so this evening I'm going to start on those! I admire Pauline that comes up with theese gorgeous motifes every time. In the new Magnolia ink magazine there is an interview with her. It was really interesting to read!

Back to the wonderful stamps again ;P

I coloured this cute "Tilda with many hearts" with distress inks; walnut stain, vintage photo, fryed burlap, tattered rose, barn door, victorian velvet, weathered wood and black soot.

I made little flags that says I LUV U with an magnetic alphabete.

The hearts on the side of Tilda is cut out from quarellepaper and painted with d.i; barn door, black soot and victorian velvet.

I hope that noone of you have missed Magnolias minifigures? they are adorable!! They have been released in some countries but here in Sweden we have to wait just a little bit more =) It's worth the waiting, I promise!

A whole new "using area" opened up for me! These cute little stamps are perfect for other stuff besides cards. You can put them on small boxes, tags and much, much more.

I made one for a treefork ;P It's cute and a nice gesture to just give it to someone that doesn't expect it at all. If you're going to a friend for a cup of coffe, bring the fork!

I have used the textstamp "A little yummy for the tummy" and Minichef Edwin and painted him with distress inks walnut stain, vintage photo, black soot, weathered wood, fryed burlap and tattered rose.

Fridays are the best! even though I am at home for one week more it's still the best day =)

Unfortunatly my dog have been operated on too so we are two miserable figures here at the moment ;)

Has anyone seen the new Magnolia ink magazine? I thought that it was amazing!! Beautiful cards, fun tutorials and interesting reading =) I have also recieved the new stamps so it will be alot of them here for a while (I guess). But first I'll show you a card that I made this morning.

Finally I have managed to do a card! It's not been that much cardmaking during the hollidays but now I found some time at last!

I have used the cute piratestamps from Magnolia. Tilda, Edwin, sea lace banner and a textstamp. They are coloured with distress inks; tattered rose, black soot, walnut stain, vintage photo, dusty concord, milled lavender, tea dye, fryed burlap, weathered wood and barn door (nr4).

I've used stickles around some of the papers and on the big swirls..and ofcourse pearlmaker ;)

My Top Ten 2010

2010 has been a great crafting year for me. I finally found my style in colouring after searching hard. I started with Promarkers but felt that it was a to "easy" challenge for me. Then I moved on to tombows that was kind of fun but I didn't quite like the colouring range on them. One evening I decided to try distress inks and gosh, it just blew me off the chair. This was exactly what I had been looking for =)

I also became a member of Magnolias design team, so most of the cards I've made this year have Magnolias figures on them =)

So I can't think of a better way to end my cardmaking 2010 by picking out my Top Ten favourites!

1. Starting with a valentinecard with both distress inks and tombows that I made in february.

2. This card i really liked since it's just in one colour (and my favourite Magnolia stamp)

3. I made this card for a friends daughter. I like the colours and papers.

4. Here's one that I didn't like at first, but the more I adjusted it the better it became ;)

5. This one was for Magnolia inks autumn number. I Like the colours here =)

6. This card I made for the magazine "Ett trykk".

7. Here's a card I made for a friends son.

8. This card is special. I made it for a babygirl that was very sick. I'm happy to say that she is much better now =)

9. A coffin I made for halloween. After much cutting, glueing and curses it came togehter just fine =)

10. One of the latest cards that I made. I like everything about it =) and that is not often!

I hope that you've enjoyed my top ten list =)

The LAST christmascard!

This is the last christmascard in a loooong while now! Now I want to focus on doing something different =)

I hope that you all had a great christmas!!

This is a card that I made in 15 minutes...my mother asked if I could make on to a friend of hers, and so I did =)

It's the lovely Tilda from Magnolias Christmascollection.

A short post today =) My hand still aces a little but it is much better! I have a big scar in my palm but it will fade away and almost become invisible the doctors said. I'm just happy to be able to make cards without getting pain! Scar or no scar.

It's a candlecard with matches.

It opens like a book and inside you findthe matchbox in the same patterned paper as the rest of the card. (I only used one paper, doublesided, for the whole card =)

Ofcourse I just had to use Magnolias Santa. He's so cute! I've painted him with distress inks; Walnut stain, vintage photo, tattered rose, black soot and weathered wood.
The background for santa is cut out and brushed with sephia accent toped with distress clear crackle paint.

I attatched a toggle(?) to close the card so that it doesen't pop up.

The adorable snowflakes are painted with puffy velvet.

Door decoration

The other day I was at IKEA for som candle shopping (a clear advantage to live 5 minutes away). I found a cute door decoration too (just the branches) so my brain started to imagin what it could look like if I used my craftingthings at home. It did'nt come out the way I wanted (as always) but it now hangs on our front door welcoming guests =)

I used the cute Tilda with ornament from Magnolias latest ollection. She's painted with distress inks tattered rose, vintage photo, walnut stain, black soot, barn door and forest moss.

I also used snowflakes (Martha Stewart) and painted them with puffy velvet and stickles.

Around the branches is a big red ribbon. On some of the branches I glued little white frosted pearls.

I massacred an old candledecoration to get the golden leafs and put a red rose in the middle.

Oh my god I just realized that I've forgotten to blush up the cheeks on this Tilda!!

It's not easy to make everything with just one hand. I'm so happy that I've managed to colour a couple of motifes befor the operation! I mean, try to colour a stamp with the wrong hand would'nt be a great thing to do ;P

The healing is starting to set in so I can do a little at a time. I still have alot of pain and can't bend my fingers that much but I would go nuts if I just sat on my bottom the whole day! =)

I've maid a candlebag(?) with matches and used one of Magnolias new cute stamps. By the way have you missed to visit Magnolias new blog? Everyday you can win a present so rush in and take part in the holiday celebratings =)

Today it's the first advent (?) here in Sweden. I don't know if others have it too but here you celebrate that it's four weeks left for christmas. I'm sure that it has some other religious meaning too... Well for me it means that we put up christmas decorations in the windows and around the home =) Cozy cozy!!

Yesterday I went to a scrapmeeting. We were 9 crafters who got toghether and made cards the whole day =)

I made a christmascard (surprise ;P) with one of Magnolias new stamps.

I've coloured her with distress inks: faded jeans, black soot, tattered rose, barn door, vintage photo, weathered wood and walnut stain.

I put some stickles on the heart and wings.

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update but I've been working on many projects to the next Magnolia ink magazine! It's going to be amazing with the new design that I've heard rumors about ;P And ofcourse all the talented ladies on the team!

On Wednesday I'm off to get an operation of my right hand (at laaaast) so there will be little updated for a couple of weeks. I'm going to work hard (until wednesday) on making some cards that I can show you meanwhile so it won't be totally empty in here =)

Yup, here's yet another christmascard from me =)

I haven't been able to update here as often as I would like to, but I've been working on projects for the next Magnolia ink magazine. Besides working fulltime there's not much time over for "freestyling" =)

Here's one of Magnolias new winterstamps. It's adorable Tilda and she's coloured with distress inks barn door, black soot, walnut stain, tattered tose, vintage photo, wild honey and weathered wood.

I've even dressed the inside for once! =)

Snow, snow, snooow..

Yesterday it came about 20 cm snow here :S The first snow usually just fall and dissapere at the same time but this time it was so much that the plows were out all night..

I can't help to be a little inspired of the snow...even though I don't like it ;P

I dont know what this folding is called...but it's fun to make =)

I used the cute Edwin from magnolias latest collection and coloured him with distress inks; walnut stain, vintage photo, black soot, tattered rose and weathered wood.

You can take out the inside...sort of like an envelope =) Magnolias Doohickey "Tildas lace" came in handy here. I love it!

The flowers are punched out with retropunches. I've cut them so they look a little bit more "christmaslike"

Here's another christmascard that I've made. If I kep it up I might get all my cards done before christmas =)

I've used magnolias new stamp from the winter collection and coloured it with distress inks:
Dusty concord, black soot, barn door, tattered rose, walnut stain, tea dye, vintage photo, milled lavender, spiced marmelad and weathered wood.

I also used Puffy velvet to do the snow and snowflakes. I really like that pen!

Oh the winter....

I really love christmas and want it to be ALOT of snow...but only on christmasday... Otherwise I don't like snow at all! It's cold, wet, muddy, bright and just so much of it...The worst part is when I'm going to work and have to clear the car and driveway from one nights heavy snowing *gaaaah* Another thing is the dark. I mean I love dark nights, but when I get of work there's nu way to get a good pitcure of my cards! Really frustrating!

But today I managed to get it almost right ;P

This is my first christmascard this year =) I've used Magnolias new sugarcute wintercollection.
Tilda is coloured with distress inks: Barn door, black soot, tattered rose, forest moss, vintage photo, walnut stain and weathered wood.
On the christmastree I've used some puffy velvet to get a "snow effect".

It's a simple card but since it have alot of red in it I felt that decorations were overrated here =)

Here's one of Magnolias new adorable stamps!
In the new Magnolia ink you can find templates to the angel so you can make them yourself. I think that they will fit in well in the christmastree =) Just attatch a string to it and hang it from a branch.

This cute angel is coloured with distress inks: victorian velvet, weathered wood, black soot, vintage photo, walnut stain and tattered rose.

I have put som stickles on the star and her wings.

Things for Halloween

Today is my little sisters birthday. She´s going to have a halloweenparty next weekend so I've made some stuff for her to put on the dinnertable =)

First out is these wineglassdecorations.

Here I've used Magnolias stamp "Happy halloween" on shrink...eeeh...plastic...thing...You know the paper that shrinks when you heat it up ;)

I also went with different distresscolours so the guests can keep track of their glasses.

I've used thick silverthread and bent it so that you kind of screw the decoration on to the foot of the glass.

Also I've made a candle with maches...but I strongly advice her NOT to lid it! I mean imagine the *poof* when the leaves, paper, ribbon and flowers gets hot :S

Here I used the same Magnoliastamp as on the wineglass...And Magnolias borderdies.

For this matchbox I used Magnolias Halloween textstamp and papers.

This is Halloween...

...everybody jump and scream! "This is halloween" is my favourite song at the moment. I love the movie Nightmare before christmas (Tim burton). So a little inspired by that I made this coffin ;P

I've used Magnolias paper and Halloweenstamp "Do not open before Halloween".

I put a little "locker" on the end of the coffin so it wont open and spill out the candy that is supposed to be in there.

The text is inked with black soot and embossed with clear embossingpowder to get a better effect. After embossing it i inked the paper with antiqe linen and walnut stain to get an aged look.

When you open the coffin Dracula Edwin pops up =)

He's painted with distress inks; black soot, walnut stain, vintage photo, tattered rose, dusty concord and tea dye.

I attatched him with stripes to the lid of the coffin so he rises when you open it.

This paper and the textstamp is also from Magnolia.

I used the adorable Tilda with pumpkins and Halloweentext from Magnolia and coloured her with distress inks; Black soot, spiced marmelade, walnut stain, forest moss, peeled paint, tattered rose, vintage photo, stormy sky and wild honey.

On the black Magnoliapaper I've used "Tildas Lace" (Doohickey)

Just a short notice

I'm working on some cards at the moment, but it takes time... All work and no play makes Malin a dull girl ;P No, just kidding! I love my job but when I get of for the day my hands take a time out... sort of.
You must be tired about "hearing" (more like reading) me complain about it all the time but I have great news! I'm getting an operation of my right hand on the 4th of november!! Weehooo! The bad news (for me) is that I can't use my hand at all for 2 weeks :/ I'm not allowed to drive my car or even write with a pencil in that time so I'll propably go nuts! And I don't think that anyone would like to se me colouring magnolias with my left hand haha ;)

I'm hoping to have one card redy for tomorrow or saturday =) So come back later my friends!!

Autumn-ish card

I'm a weatherperson depending on which time of year it is. Now in autumn my clothing, haircolour and mood changes. Even my cards get an autumnlook =)

As I've said before autumn is my absolute favourite! If I was'nt such a coward I'd colour my hair fired red and just wear brown/orange/green clothes ;P But since it's sooo hard to get my blond colour back I stay with it and just take it out on my cards!

Today I'm having a brown day so the whole cards goes in brownscale. I've used one of my "all time favourite"stamp Tilda with bubbles from Magnolia and coloured her with distress inks walnut stain and vintage photo =) There's some stickles on her wings and bubbles.

The textstamps is also from Magnolia.

I just love this stamp from Magnolia. It makes me happy when I read it because it's true indeed. Friends do fill your life with smiles =)

This is one of Magnolias new autumnstamps. I like it alot because the weather here in Sweden are like this in autumn. One second there's great weather and the next it's raining och hailing like crazy. I looove autumn! Dark cozy evenings with blankets, a cup of tea, lit candles and a good book....*mmmm*

Pink babycard

I've made this to a friend who recently got a babygirl =) I'm not sure that it have been delivered yet, but I'll take my chanses ;)

My friend does'nt like pink (crazy!) and will not dress her little princess in that colour (really crazy...I would dress her like a muffin if she was mine ;P). So it was quite obviously that i just had to make her a pink babycard!

I've used Magnolias new stamp Baby Tilda for the card. So adorable cute she melts my heart!

Also I've used my darling Pearlmaker to make the white pearls *lovelovelove it*

It feels that the card is unfinished in some way...but I did'nt have time to sit and think about it ;P

Hi! I'm sooo sory that I've been bad at updating...as I wrote before I've been really sick but now I'm better =) the last week I've been busy working on Magnolia ink christmasedition so there has not been much time over for other things. But however I can show you my card that I made for the magazine Ett trykk (august) =)

I chosed the cutest Tilda with peony from magnolias weddingcollection.

I coloured her with distress inks: walnut stain, tattered rose, vintage photo, victorian velvet, black soot, faded jeans, stormy sky, forest moss and weathered wood.

The stamp "Especially for you" is also from Magnolia.

Today I'm going to show you a card that I made with one of magnolias new stamps.

It's the adorable Tilda with a asian umbrella...don't know the real name of the stamp so I improvise ;P

"A TON of love for you" is also magnolias.

I've coloured her with distress inks; Broken china, victorian velvet, forest moss, antique linen, scattered straw, vintage photo, walnut stain, weathered wood and tattered rose.

If you take a closer look, at the blue paper on the card, you can see that I've used Magnolias new Doohickeys

Now I'm off to bed! got a nasty cold with fever so my best friend at the moment are garlic, pepsi, asprins and my pillow ;P

Or happy and happy...both me and my son are sick. We've got a real cold and the sneezing is driving me nuts! Can't be much brain left inside my head!...I dont sneeze like a normal person...It's like an earthquake when I start ;P

I hope that you did'nt get tired of my last recipiecard...because here's another ;P This time it's a recipie on pumpkinpie. On the inside of the card I've put "how to make it"...Oh my gosh, my english is wanishing in my head as I write! I blame the sneezings...I just can't find the right words, so bare with me on this one ;)

I've used one of Magnolias cute halloweenstamps (so spooky collection) and a pumpkinstamp (also magnolia)
they are painted with distress inks; walnut stain, vintage photo, tattered rose, spiced marmelad, wild honey and tea dye.

I've also used Magnolias chrystalbranch...and alot of pearlmaker ;)

the text on the recipie is written in photoshop with a font that I don't remember the name of. I printed it out on white cardstock.

Oh my gosh!

You just have to buy the new Magnolia ink magazine!!

It's amazing! I've just finished reading it for the fourth time! =D I can't stop looking at all the gorgeous cards and tutorials that are in it, and the stamps that'll be released later...Yummy!

I can give you a little sneak on one of my cards ;)

Halloween is coming up...well not yet but still, it's closer than what you think ;) I would love to be in America when it is cellebrated! Here in Sweden it's just another "pass-by" holliday when you lit candles in the graveyard to celebrate passed away loved ones. Sure some kids dress up like little monsters and goes around for trick or treating. One year I gave some kids candy...they looked at me and said "Don't you have any money for us instead?"...GAAAH! Little monsters! The point of trick or treating is not to get rich while doing it...and certanly not when you are 6-7years old! ;)

This is a card with a recipie on how to rost pumpkinseeds (with flavour)

I've used the colours (distress inks); Forest moss, Valnut stain, Spiced marmelad, weathered wood, vintage photo and tattered rose.

Just a short post to show you my new bookmark =) I've ordered four new books so this will come in handy!
The keyboards are still nuts (after getting a shower with water) but it's drying up! Now I can press enter without shutting the computer down ;P That was really irritating.. I promise you...

I've used the adorable Asian Tilda for the bookmark. Magnolias new collection are to die for!! I'm just sad that I don't have so much time for crafting for a couple of weeks.

As usual I have coloured her with distress inks; walnut stain, vintage photo, bundled sage, black soot, tattered rose, scattered straw, forest moss, dusty concord and weathered wood.

The "lable" says My Book.

I've used my pearlmaker to make tiny pearls around the flowers. I really love my magic pearl tube! I can make any size from tinytiny to los bigos! =)

Look what I recieved in my mail yesterday!! Magnolias new stamps!! =D *happy*
I ordered Indian Tilda and Asian Tilda (I think that's what they are called) adn I love them! Allthough I'm working alot (68 hours this week) I found some time yesterday to make a card.

Indian Tilda is coloured with distress inks; Walnut stain, black soot, spiced marmelad, faded jeans, tattered rose, forest moss, victorian velvet, weathered wood and vintage photo.

On the flowers and hairembellishment I've used pearlmaker.

Now I'm off to bed! I'm working nights this weekend =) No rest for the wicked! ;P

Thank you all for the sweet wishes I got for my birthday!! Both cards, emails and on my blogs. It made me sooo happy!!! =D

This is a card with Magnolias 'I can fly' Tilda from the new collection 'Bon Voyage'. Super cute! I've coloured her with distress inks; Tattered rose, walnut stain, vintage photo, faded jeans, black soot and stormy sky.

The stamp says Happy birthday (in swedish) and is also from Magnolia.

I've used one of Magnoolias new borderdies. That one is going to be a favourite! It's called Tildas lace. The flower and crystal branch is also Magnolias.

Cutest Tilda

Today is my birthday =) I'm celebrating it with sleeping because I'm working nights this week. I'll celebrate it with family later when I have a day off.

Since I'm working night I have been shifting my "awake hours" a little bit. At midnight I started my day with making cards for four hours! That's qualitytime!
Max is sleeping over at my mother and father with his cousins and my partner is out fishing so I'm all alone. It's nice to be able to do whatever I want ;P I've been eating chocolate, chips and grilled some meat for dinner (at 23 in the evening). That's not a bad start on my birthday!

Anyway, today I'll show you one of the cards that I made. It's with one of my favourite Magnolias, Tilda with bubbles.

Finally I've got a card that I can show you :)

There's been a lot of other projects that I can't show, but you can hopefully see them in the Magnolia ink magazine and Ett trykk when they arrive to the stores :)

For this card I've used Edvin from the fairytale collection and a textstamp, also from Magnolia.

I've painted him with distress inks.

Now I'm off to pick some cloudberry with my dad! My mom will be watching my son, Max. I've got a feeling that he won't find it very much fun, walking around for hours in the woods looking for berries ;P

Just a little notice...

...to say that I'm sorry that I have'nt been able to update this blog in a while. I'm on my second week of working full time plus extra, so there's not much time left for making cards =(

Also we have some sort of a supersummer here, with gazing sun and high temperatures. That really bothers me since I don't get along with the heat...but I should'nt complain ;)

I am an autumnperson. I don't like this heat that comes with summer...but it's always better than loads of snow and cold winters.

Yesterday, me and my son, went to the beach. I managed to burn myself although I used sunscreen factor 25. After about an hour I took sunsc. 50 (for kids) and I had a sweater on...how did that happened!? I like to start with thanking God for NOT giving me pigment what so ever. I'm gonna follow that up by an investigation if I'm adopted...My parents and siblings all get brown and summerqute...but I get burned, red and then white again! Life's sooo unfair sometimes!!

But, enough with all the complaining ;P

Yep, I've done it again! Another chocolatecover for Max's kindergarden teachers, ofcourse with chocolate inside ;P I've done three more of them, so four total =) One blue, one green, one pink and one brown.

Pink princesscard

I've made this card for a little girl who is celebrating her first birthday at the hospital. She who ordered the card said that the girl is a little princess so the colour should be pink. I've used Tilda from Magnolias fairytalecollection. She fits like a glove =)

I've coloured her with distress inks; victorian velvet, black soot, walnut stain, tattered rose, weathered wood och vintage photo.

The dress bothers me...just when I had painted the first layer my son, Max, fell of the couch so the paint dried up...Therefor it is a stripe if you look closer, just next to her arm :S

The butterfly is painted with cracklepaint.

I love fridays!!

Today I'm foing to my friend Helena for some cardmaking :) I't exellent weather because the rain is pouring outside...That kind of makes it more "legal" than it would if it had been great weather ;P
As you can see I haven't updated in a couple of days...I've been working for seven days straight, so the only crafting I've been able to do is for the next magnolia ink magazine.

Therefore I'll show you an older card that my sons kindergardenteachers got when he switched to the older class.

The cards says "Thank You" and the names of his teachers.

I've painted Tilda with both tombows and distress inks.

The graduation is over for this year! I've made sooo many studentcards that my hands are about to fall of...but I'll propably find a way to make cards with my hands if that happens ;P

I made this card in about 20 minutes so the colouring is not so great...I had an order (with really short notice) on a summercard for a boss from her employees. This Tilda (from Magnolias fairytalecollection) suits perfekt since she's easy to colour ;)

They are adorable and perfect on birthdaycards or invitationcards for children! One of my friends son is having his birthdayparty today so I've made him a card.

This photos were taken yesterday in the evening so the quality is not the best...It became a little to "cold blueish".

I've painted him with the distress ink colours; Black soot, tattered rose, vintage photo, walnut stain and faded jeans.

The star I've cut out from a plain paper and coloured it with distress ink Wild honey. The small stars are from a Qk dies. All patterned papers are from Magnolias newest collection

You must think that I've gone completly nuts with all the embellishments...But I'm in a challenge where the theme is "butterflies and flowers". And when I think about the theme, not only do I think of a lots of embellishments, but also the colour pink ;)

Distress tutorial

I've had many inquirys on both mail and in my blogs to do a tutorial on how i use and colour with the distress inks. So now I've finally done one that I hope can be of some use for you who are interested :) It's going to be a looong post with a lot of pitcures so I hope that you can stay awake to the end ;)
I have alot of problems and great pain with my hands at the moment (waiting for operation of them both) so the colouring is not at my best...

This is what I start with. A little bowl of water, a palett, acrylic blocks, a pencil and ofcourse the motif (magnolias Tilda and fence) and colours.

I always begin with the skin and haircolour. For skin I use tattered rose and vintage photo refills. I mix these two to get a better effect.

I start with laying a dark"string" of skincolour by the hair.

Then I take some water (only) in the brush to rub it out.

To get rid of lines, like the one above, I use more water and rub it out.

The face looks dark because it's still wet :)

I continue with the rest of the skin.

After that I do the hair. I ALWAYS start with the skin and hair because they are the hardest to get "right". It's no fun when you've done almost everything perfect and messes up with the face at the end...I can't count the number of times that I've done that ;)

For the hair I've used Walnut stain and vintage photo (refills).

And now for the dress that I want to colour with spiced marmelade. This time I take the distress ink pad (is it called pad?). I press it against an acrylic block and gather the colour with a brush.

Same thing here, I start with a line and rub it out with water.

When I want to colour something so that it looks white, I take weatered wood and make shadows.

Here I've started with the green details and I've used Forest moss.

For the fence I've used vintage photo and the flowers victorian velvet.

The shoes is coloured with Walnut stain

Now the motif is almost ready...

Around Tilda I paint shadows so that it don't looks so "flat".

Aaaaalmost ready...

One final touch ;) I use drychalks to blush her up.

And here's the result:

I'm in some sort of a daily colour period. This day, when I got up, I thought that green is my colour today! So I made this green card dressed in one of my favourite green shirts and blue jeans (I haven't got any green pants ;P). You wold think that I also listen to Green day...but no haha! Lacuna coil is playing out of my speakers right now =)

The headline on the card says Congratulations on your birthday. I've stamped the words with magnetic stamps on aquarellpaper.

I just saw that the ribbon on the card has let go of the card on the right side!! Damn haha!! Well, well... just pretend that it's attatched to the card ;P

Blue tuesday

As you can see I've made another blue card ;) The adorable Tilda is from Magnolias Right through the heart collection and she's coloured with distress inks Walnut stain, stormy sky, weathered wood, vintage photo and tattered rose.

The paper behind Tilda is aquarell and I've painted it with distress crackle paint "picket fence". I've also used pearlmaker...I'm a pearlmakerjunkie as you can see ;)

I haven't got any "headline" on the card yet...I usually place that when I know who will get the it =)

Finally!

Finally I've found some time to make a card for my brothers birthday =) I've been working on cards for the next Magnolia ink magazine so there's been little time for other things.

I've used the cute Edwin from Magnolias Right through the heart collection and coloured him with distress inks Walnut stain, vintage photo, tattered rose, weathered wood and stormy sky.

The stamp says Happy birthday

The numbers are painted with brown colour and over that I've painted Crackle paints "Picket fence". When it dried I scraped so the cracklepaint fell of on some places...just to get an olderly look, just as my old brother haha ;P

Spring!

Spring has finally arrived! I say that every year and the day after we have a blizzard ;P But that's april weather here!

Since it's spring I thought that a "springcard" would be nice =)

I've used the gorgeous stamp from Magnolia 'Tilda With Spring Bundler and coloured her with distress inks; Vintage photo, Tattered Rose, Walnut Stain, Pine needle, Forest Moss, Faded jeans och Weathered wood..

To a friend

I've made a card to a dear friend of mine. I just want to show her that I think of her...and that's why this hobby is so great! You can make what you want to anyone =D

Is their favourite colour brown? no problems...you just pick out brown papers, use brown distress to colour and som matching flowers and voíla; you have a card that noone else have, dedicated to just this person =)

In this card I've used Magnolias Tilda writing a letter. I've coloured her with distress inks; Walnut stain, Tattered rose, Tea dye, Vintage photo and Victorian velvet.

Finally it seems like spring is here to stay! I've started to get flowers around the house where the snow has vanished. The sun is shining and I wonder what I'm still doing inside?

Yesterday I was at a scrapmeeting! I managed to make one card and start on another =)

Spotlight

I hope that you've had a really happy easter!! I'm full of easter food, candy and other stuffs that have left me with a burning throat ;) I've been busy working alot so it haven't been any time to make cards...but this morning I had a little sparetime so I made a card =)

I've used the tecniqe with spotlights. It's a little overkill to colour the stamp black and white, but I thought it looked naked without it ;P After colouring it I did the same motif on another paper and cut out circles wich I coloured with distress inks. Then I glued it onto the black/white Tilda and vóila: Spotlights =)

This is the lovley Tilda from Magnolia...I don't remember wich collection she's from :S

Happy Easter!!

Finally! Here's an update from me. I've been workin this entire week, both nights and evenings so there haven't been much cardmaking...But at least i've managed to get one card done ;P

This adorable magnolia Tilda with flowers is one of my favourites! I've masked it together with magnolias fence.

I just loooove the new distress inks colours! Finally a real pink one =D It's called Victorian Velvet and I love it!! The blue distress colour is also new and called Stormy Sky.

The crystal branch is also from magnolia. I've used stickles on the leaves to get a little touch of waterdrops. On the card it says Ab imo pectore wich means From the bottom of my heart.

Now I'm off to my parents to eat easterlunch!!

I've had a really good time in Stockholm! I'm so glad that I had the chance to meet a lot of wounderful and inspiering girls =D You would think that I've managed to do many cards...but since I was talking non-stop this is what I came up with ;P

This adorable Honey Tilda from Magnolia just had to be combined with my new fence! And I've also bought one och the new distress inks "Victorian Velvet". It's gorgeous pink!!! At last I don't have to mix colours to get the perfect pink haha =D *happyhappy*

I love magnolias new embellishment "crystal branch"!! It comes in different colours so I bought pink and clear.

I'm not so good at alter things...I never get it the way that I want it to be! I want a nice, roughed and old look, but before I've finished decorating it with paper I'm tired and want to start a new project =) But I managed to finish this box so that my mother can have it on her birthday.

I've used Magnolias lovley easterstamp Tilda with flowers and painted her with distress inks vintage photo, brushed courdoy, walnut stain, tattered rose and scattered straw.

It was a little difficult to attatch Tilda to the lace...but I made it =P

Me and Max slept until 11 this morning! Both him and me had a mega sugarrush last evening, so we didn't fall asleep so early ;P Since we have been "dadfree" this weekend, I have not been able to scrap alot... but I've made one card! and I've started to colouring one of my new Magnolias.

Oh I wish that I could have visited Magnolias store this weekend!! They released the new collections; Pirates, Princes, Princesses and Weddingstamps... I can just imagine how broke I would have been if I went there ;P

Yaaay today it's friday again! Me and Max are going to eat a big breakfast ;P I've boiled som eggs, made toast, yogurth and other goodies. Daniel is in Prag on buissnestrip so we are alone until sunday...I'm thinking of washing his clothes in 90 degrees C so that he thinks that the food in Prag made him bigger haha!

Here comes my third easter DTcard for Magnolia!

I've used the adorable bunnystamp and tulipstamp. They're painted with distress inks. The bunny is attatched with 3D dots.

I just love the bunnypaper! The paper behind the bunny is stamped with magneticstamps and it says "happy easter". I've also used the tulipstamp to cut out the flower and leaves.
The small flowers are punched out from magnolias easterpaper with my retro punch.

Everything that I've used is Magnolias material.

Here comes my second DT card for Magnolia.

I've used the lovley Tilda in a bunnysuit and painted it with distress inks and tombows. I've masked with Magnolias tulipstamp.

Everything that I've used is from Magnolia.

I've cut out flowers from one of the papers and glued them behind the roses.

This is my first DTcard for Magnolia!

This adorable stamp is from the Easter collection "Tilda with kicken"

I've coloured Tilda with distress inks and tombows.

Magnolias new paper is to die for! Wait until you've seen the rest of them! =)
The papers are inked with some brown chalk in the edges. I've also used one of the papers to cut out little dots from and pasted it here and there around the motif.

I have used som golden stickles on Magnolias lovley leaves and flowers.
